Manukau City Centre is predominantly commercial — office buildings, retail, tertiary campuses and the entertainment precinct — with residential streets and apartment developments filling in around the edges. Most of what we do here is scheduled grounds maintenance where presentation to the public is the point.
Greensward NZ maintains commercial grounds, body corporate common areas and residential lawns throughout Manukau City Centre and the surrounding streets.
Grounds maintenance to a commercial standard
Commercial sites are judged from a car at 30km/h. Clean carpark edges, no growth over signage, mown verges and mulched beds that look deliberate do more than a perfect lawn nobody walks on. We work to a schedule and a checklist rather than an eyeball assessment on the day.
Timing is negotiable. Where mower noise conflicts with a business, we schedule early morning or after close. For sites with public foot traffic we cone off working areas and clear paths as we go rather than at the end.
For body corporate and apartment common areas we can invoice monthly against a fixed annual schedule, which makes it far easier for a committee to budget than ad hoc quoting.
Landmarks and streets we work around
Our Manukau City Centre run covers the streets around Manukau Station, Westfield Manukau City, Rainbow's End and Due Drop Events Centre. If you're nearby but not sure whether you're inside the run, call 022 674 4748 — we'll tell you straight away rather than sending someone out to find out.
